Spice & Co. Design worked with IP Australia to create an up-to-date intranet to keep the department’s staff informed of intra-departmental news and extra-departmental developments.
IP Australia administers patents, trademarks, designs and plant breeder's rights, so it is important that staff are fully engaged with information that is highly beneficial to individuals and the organisation alike. We created a colourful, contemporary, engaging and accessible design that supplies ready access to administrative and procedural documentation.
Working in close collaboration with key staff we made sure the intranet’s information architecture and design emphasised information in a way that reflected its usefulness and maximised findability, employed useful technologies such as RSS feeds, and set the department up with a customised version of SASi, our content management system, so staff are easily able to manage and develop the intranet within the parameters of an established style.
